About the event
Starting at 9:30am, we will hear from veterinarian and bovine nutritionist Dr. Dave Horn. He will discuss nutrition for raising beef cattle on pasture, estrus management, and strategies for timed artificial insemination. Dr. Erin Masur will then discuss a topic of your choosing - pick between first aid for calves and adult cattle, designing your farm's vaccine schedule, or upgrading your on-farm procedures (castrations, dehornings, etc). Light lunch will be served. There are bathrooms and a full kitchen on site. We will be done at 11:30 with a little time for Q&A.
